Author Presents Clarity to a Misunderstood Messiah

ENUMCLAW, Wash., June 22 /Christian Newswire/ — Author Dan Kane addresses the identity of the Jewish Messiah in his new book, „Is Yeshua the Prophesied Messiah of the Hebrew Bible?“ (WinePress, 2009).

„The Jewish people have never been presented with an accurate description of biblical Christianity. The Yeshua many rejected in not the Yeshua of the New Testament, but the Jesus of the cults. My book presents a clear picture of the Jewish Messiah as described by the Jewish authors of the promised second covenant.“

Kane’s book targets questions such as:

· Who was Yeshua, Jesus of Nazareth?

· What is the relationship between the Hebrew Bible and the Christian Bible?

· Where do the Talmud and other historical writings fit into the equation?

· Why did observant Jews use blood sacrifices for atonement and why did they stop?

Kane notes that the Christian Bible, like the Hebrew Bible, was written by HaShem-worshiping Jews. He furthermore posits that the promised new covenant welcomes both Jews and Gentiles.

Misinformation regarding the Messiah runs deep and can be traced back to the origins of the Roman Catholic Church. Many long-held messianic prophecies documented in the Hebrew Bible, what Christians call the Old Testament, were changed by the rabbis in response to the rapid spread of Christianity.

„In short, they began to reinterpret many prophecies long recognized by Jews and Christians alike as messianic. However, I want them to be able to conclude from reading the book that the prophesied Mashiach (Messiah) of the Hebrew Bible (Old Testament) is the same ‚anointed one‘ recorded by the Jewish authors of the New Testament and His Hebrew name is Yeshua (Jesus in Greek).“

Born and raised in Kentucky, Dan Kane is a Registered Professional Nuclear Engineer with the U.S. Department of Energy and author of „For Our Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant Friends“ (Pleasant Word, 2008). Dan, a former Catholic turned believer, is passionate about introducing others to the Jesus of the New Testament.
